Happy Fifth of Four
I don’t speak Mexican well, but I think that’s what the president wished us:
“Welcome to Cinco de Cuatro - Cinco de Mayo at the White House,” said Obama, in what appeared to be an attempt to note they were celebrating on the fourth of May instead of the fifth.
Cinco de cuatro means “five of four” in Spanish.
I thought we were supposed to make sure our children could speak Spanish. Not to mention his shame at Americans who couldn’t say anything more than merci beaucoup.
I’m surprised he didn’t apologize for the Alamo.
