Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of… uh… uh…

How did I miss this at the time?

When Barack Obama tried wowing the French at his town hall meeting, he wound up needed a prompt from the audience when his Teleprompter apparently froze:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: … First, because, for all our differences, there are certain values that bind us together and reveal our common humanity: the universal longing to live a life free from fear and free from want, a life marked by dignity and respect and simple justice. Our two republics were founded in service of these ideals. In America it is written into our founding documents as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In France, liberté …[freezes]

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Egalité.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Absolutely — (laughter, cheers, applause) — egalité, fraternité.

Oh, what a priceless fool! I’m beginning to think it might be worth losing our nation’s identity, perhaps permanently, just for the occasional glimpse of this man’s pea-sized intellect. I’m like a crack addict, I confess, but I’d sell my house, my wife, my kids, my dog—my country—to see this.

THIS!

Oh play it again, play it again! Please, please, please. Just one more time. The way he pronounces fraternité, you’d think he was mentally reliving a great Phi Gamma Delta kegger from his Columbia days.

What lovely reminder that this guy is nothing more than an arrogant pompous street punk.
