The Hard Bigotry of the Low Left
The title of this post refers to that brilliantly succinct phrase “the soft bigotry of low expectations”.
But this is anything but soft—even though it entirely fits my expectations:
Helen Thomas has been gabbing with a film crew this morning, according to Washington Times White House correspondent Christina Bellantoni.
Bellantoni just posted this on Twitter:
“Bobby Jindal was ‘pitiful,’ Helen Thomas tells film crew, right before making a ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ crack.”
That ain’t nothing, you protest. And I’d have to agree—especially compared to Chris Matthews:
Did MSNBC’s Chris Matthews really just say that the struggling Republicans needed to “outsource” their response to Indian-American Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal?
Seems like an unfortunate choice of words.
Hey Aggie, I think that merits consideration for a BTL Ya Think? Award.
But then, they are merely aping (racist!) the sentiments of Vice President Joe Biden:
“You CANNOT go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent … I’m not joking.”
Hey Governor Jindal, get me a Slurpee, and be quick about it.
Until Americans of Indian descent make at least 5% of the population, they will get no love from the Democrats.

I just have to wonder how it is that these people do not hear themselves. I mean, they appear to live to hear the sound of their own voices but they don’t manage to listen to a single word that comes out of their own mouths.
But here’s the other thing that would make the those nasty SOBs pay attention: we all know they are too afraid of muslims to say boo to them. So what we obviously need is to import some of the Hindu fundamentalists that occasionally blow up a mosque in India, and then the press would be nice.
But Gov. Jindal is a Catholic, I hear you cry. Well, they’re racists - I don’t think the press will notice the difference.
