Rezko-zy Deal

All I want from the government is a deal like the President’s:

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) notified Judicial Watch this week that it has “closed the file” on our complaint against Senator Barack Obama for allegedly accepting a below market rate mortgage loan in 2005 not available to the general consumer. In its factual and legal analysis, however, the FEC does confirm that Obama obtained a discounted loan but said no laws were violated.

So, to sum: Yes Barack Obama did receive a special below-market loan the rest of us couldn’t get. And a big “no” to the idea that he ought to be held accountable for it.

Upset? So are we.

Here’s a bit of the back story.

Go and read it.

When you consider Obama and Rezko, Chris Dodd and Countrywide, Barney Frank and Fannie/Freddie—we have put the foxes in charge of the chicken coop.

Or, as Frank and Dodd are hardly foxes, two weasels and a skunk.

Screw his mortgage. Or I mean, “His”. I want them to pursue the extreme liklihood that The One accepted foreign campaign donations. Bastard completely disabled all credit card security on his donations web page, and lots of contributions were made for such odd amounts that they had to be foreign currency being switched to dollars. And there were those men in Gaza that were doing fund-raising for Him. But is the FEC doing anything about that? Hell, no.

I think we need to accept the limits of our legal system. He has too much power to be investigated.

And the FEC is just a puddle of jello, not a single bone to be found in the lot of them. I thought the point of having a commission was so it would act independently, but the FEC has certainly proved me wrong. What a contemptible lot of plasmodia there are in DC. I’d dearly love to be able to spit on the lot of them.
