UN “Schools” [UPDATED]
I can only imagine what contemptible lessons they teach at a UN school, but that doesn’t mean I wish everyone inside them dead (not everyone, I emphasize). But then they shouldn’t seek shelter in a firing zone:
At least thirty people were reportedly killed and 53 wounded in an explosion in a UN-run school in the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinians. The IDF issued a statement saying the school grounds were used by terrorists to fire mortar shells at the troops.
The infantrymen returned mortar shell fire into the school grounds, the army said. Defense officials told The Associated Press that booby-trapped bombs in the school triggered the secondary explosions which killed scores of Palestinians on the site.

The IDF YouTube Channel even has video of mortor bombs being shot at Israel from Beit Hanoun UN Elementary School in Gaza back in 2007:
Hamas and other terror organizations in Gaza make deliberate use of civilians living in populated areas as human shields.
The international Red Cross also was looking into reports that a Red Crescent ambulance station in the northern town of Jebaliya was hit during the night.
Of course, terrorists even use ambulances in attacks on Israel, too.
It sounds like Israel was justified in hitting this building, and that Hamass had cynically stocked it with noncombatants. That’s old news, happens all the time.
But Israel is fighting a war. They will hurt people who don’t deserve to be hurt, as happens in all wars, everywhere. Don’t like it? Don’t start a war. But don’t sound like a fool when the inevitable happens.

58,169 dead, “American Veterans”, and being updated. I was shown a film, ( at the time, it was classified ) !! It showed us, How to pick out the, 6 year old little girls, with Grenades straped to their backs, with piano wire, on their wrists, to the pin on the Grenade. “Charlie” was willing to give up their kids, to kill 30 GI’s, with their kids !! My point is this, Hamas is doing the same thing !! ( Human Beings as Shields ) Also, can anyone, who reads this, tell me the youngest suicide bomber, that went to Israel, killing innocent people, there ? Where there is war, people are used. If your confronted with being killed, would you ask for, “Perrmission” to kill, or just do it ? Take the person out ? You know my answer !! Now, from what I understand, a CIA agent had, BIN LADIN in his sights, and was told “Not” to shoot him because he was flanked, right and left by 2 civilians. Isn’t that Guilt by association ? I would of killed the 3 of them. Anyone, hanging with, BIN-LADIN, is a terrorist !! Asking a “JAG” Officer, for permission, ( in Florida ), is rediculous !! This is what I have been told. Also, Clinton had his shot and blew it off. It should be, join the Army and get arrested for murder !! Not Army/Strong !! I feel really sorry for the guys and girls over there, having to worry about this crap !! I feel this way, just do it !! And by the way, get rid of the poppy fields, this is not an economy issue. Of course the UN would find itself innocent of harboring terrorists in its schools—and you stupidly overlooked that I’ve already cited their denial in another post. The difference between us, Michael, is that I don’t believe the UN. I do tend to believe the witnesses who say that there were terrorists on the premises, as well as the visual evidence that Hamass does this sort of thing all… the… time.

I think it is inaccurate to label these people human “shields”: that would imply that they were some how protective. It would be more accurate to call them human sacrifices to the media gods–the intent is for them to die in order to generate sympathy for themselves and intervention against Israel.

Iranian airliner shot down by USN - Followed same non-commercial route used by Iranian attack aircraft. Where were all those people going?
Peter Arnett’s bunker in Baghdad (Gulf War I) full of civilians when hit by US bomber - Used as command facility the day before. With so few civilian casualties to that point in the air campaign, why were all those people seeking refuge in a military bunker?
When was the last time a UN School, child care center, hospital… was hit by accident, or on purpose by Isreal or the United States, and it was not loaded with numerous civilians who became civilian casualties? How often now have we read about Isreali schools (how many kindergartens do they have?) hit with no casualties?
Let’s run with Michael and call it Jewish propaganda. Is he telling us that the “Jewish propaganda” machine is the rest home for nitwits and idiots? Certainly Hamas has a predilection for lying that may be lacking in Isreali government employees, but it would not take much to get one picture of an injured child (God knows that Isreal has had more than its share of injured children) in the arms of a nurse from several different angles and report it as 30+ children for each rocket fired.
However, the UN would not lie. They’ll take the food and medicine provided by the United States and distribute it in exchange for sex, or sell it to the highest bidder; they’ll get rich and make their children rich bypassing economic embargoes on UN designated criminal countries; but they would never lie about Hamas using a UN school facility to attack Isreal.

In Fallujah, we had to shoot numerous young boys. Of course, at the beginning they would be dragged off, stripped of their weapons, and shown as intentional civilian deaths. Later, we had DM’s shoot them, and we would run out and grab the body before the enemy could turn it into propaganda. My father was in Vietnam, and I remember being 13 and he was talking to me about what do you do if you see a kid carrying a grenade or satchel over towards one of your friends. You know the kid’s dead anyway b/c if you don’t shoot him, he’ll either die in the explosion or be shot by the enemy, so what do you do. Do you save your friend’s life, or do you let both of them die. Seven years later I found the answer to that question. You shoot the kid’s legs, and you try to aim around the bone so at least maybe he’ll be able to walk when it heals, and maybe that will help him forgive you and help you forgive yourself. So you shoot the kid in the leg, and the kid falls down, and suddenly he disappears into blood and meat and guts and gore, and you wonder what the fuck just happened…

It sometimes sounds empty when I say it, but thank you for your service. More specifically, thank you for putting our armchair, hypothetical war-making into real, life-and-death terms. I love that we raise our children to believe in one kind of world, but I feel guilty about it. I’ve never been to to Iraq, but I’m guessing there is no Sesame Street in Fallujah.
That paragraph should be memorized in schools.

In fact, I strongly dislike those loser emo-vets that think having been there automatically makes them right when talking to people who haven’t been. Makes me want to slap ‘em. Most of them just sat around and played x-box anyway. No, it’s just Carl was talking about it, and I know he means well, and I’m grateful for his support, and all of yours, but when this kid is in your sight picture, he’s trying to kill you, so he is the enemy, and all you can think is that this kid doesn’t even know what a woman feels like…which then your mind wanders to more pleasant places :)…before coming back to the moral dilemma at hand.
