Sarah Palin is not considered to be a friend of the gay community, but the Republican vice presidential candidate seems to be looming over the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival.
First, a rumor got started that city officials were going to ban Sarah Palin drag queens at its upcoming costumed street party, which draws some 500,000 people annually.
The rumor turned out to be false, but tonight comes word that a mannequin has been outfitted to look like Palin — with glasses, a beehive wig and a red business suit — and is hanging from a noose outside a WeHo residence. …
Ha-ha-ha-ha. That’s so funny! Even funnier when you consider how gay people are routinely hanged in Iran.
I already tol’ ya that this would be a journalistic tsunami if the tables were turned—but they’re never turned. Never. This is how the Left engages in political commentary. If you are offended by nooses, by human excrement smeared on religious icons, by threats of rape, by all the edgy, trend-setting, Bohemian free speech practiced so liberally by the Left, you are a humorless stiff.
And if you suggested something one-tenth as impertinent about their chosen ONE, you’d better be prepared for a real noose around your neck. They threaten pollsters who report leads of less than ten percent.

Can you imagine a big outdoor effigy of Barack Obama hanging in some conservative district? How much media coverage would it generate? Would there be lawsuits? I bet that it would be the only story on the front page of the NY Times every day from now until the election and beyond. The hatred for uppity women expressed by Obama followers is disturbing.
