Comrade Barack [UPDATED—AGAIN!]

You know all borderline paranoid stuff I’ve been writing about Obama’s Marxist sympathies, calling him Che and Angela?

You should hear how he talks himself.

I was just being kind.

[T]he Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.

And to that extent as radical as people tried to characterize the Warren court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you, it says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted. One of the I think tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributed change and in some ways we still suffer from that.

He’s c-o-o-o-ming…

What the government must do on my behalf, community organizing, coalitions of power, redistributed change, the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers—Bill Ayers must be so proud. We all better get used to this because we’re going to hear a lot more of it in the re-education camps we’ll be frog-marched to.

UPDATE
Via Ed Morrissey, one more killer quote:

I’m not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. You know, the institution just isn’t structured that way.

That [bleeping] Constitution again. Buncha dead white men keeping the black man down.

UPPERDATE
Is that what Michelle Obama meant?

Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.

“Barack Obama will require you to work.” Hear that, intellectuals? It’s back to the fields for you. That corn isn’t going to turn to ethanol by itself. BTW, do you think she was referring to people on welfare? Given his stated policy to cut taxes for people who don’t pay taxes, I somehow doubt it.

This tape is one of the most important things I have heard this season. I wish that every single adult in the United States could sit down for four minutes and listen. If that happened I would feel that at least they know what they’re getting themselves into.
