These Democrats and Their Tests

John Kerry had a “global test” before engaging in any action—and now, evidently, the globe will have a test for Barack Obama.

Or something like that. I tend to get lost in “rhetorical flourishes”:

Joe sometimes engages in rhetorical flourishes. But I think that his core point was that the next administration is going to be tested regardless of who it is,” Obama told reporters after meeting with his national security working group. “The next administration is going to be inheriting a whole host of really big problems and so the president is going to be tested and the question is will the next president meet that test by moving America in a new direction by sending a clear signal to the rest of the world that we are no longer about bluster and unilateralism and ideology but we’re about creating partnerships around the world to solve practical problems.”

Sorry, O-bogus, but that’s not what he said. He said you’d be tested like the young Jack Kennedy. That lets off John McCain who’s older than Rose Kennedy—and she’s dead.

You didn’t send Biden to his room for saying that mealy-mouthed crap that you just spun like fine silk out of your lying mouth. No, you gave him a day’s time out because he said you were perceived of as weak. He said they were wrong in that perception, but that’s what he said.

You can out-text McCain, and you can comb your own hair—but nobody looks at you and says I better not mess with that crazy-ass [bleep-bleeper]. Joe Biden knows it, John McCain knows it—and you can bet Vladimir Putin and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad kow it.

As usual, I hate The One so very very hard. I hate what he thinks of our country, that we are about bluster and unilateralism and ideology. I think he does hold our great country in complete contempt; how otherwise could he say “we” are about bluster and unilateralism and ideology.

I hate this bastard. How dare he speak of us that way. Near as I can tell, we don’t use bluster; we just the army and the marines. We are only unilateral because most of the craven countries around the world cannot be counted on to cowboy up and ride with us.

And as for ideology, that is the body of doctrine, myth, belief, etc., that guides an individual, social movement, institution, class, or large group. What are we supposed to have, a doctrine of making it up as we go along? I’m pretty sure that’s what HE will be doing and everyone will be congratulaing him for being pragmatic.

This is going to be a disastrous four years if that idiot wins.

For an old man, McCain has poise and even grace but I don’t know about crazy-ass - or is that what all the pulling faces is about.

Carol, ‘bluster and unilateralism and ideology’ are precisely what the US is fueled by. Lose that and you have a different nation. Perhaps this is what conservatives fear.

I hadn’t heard Obama use these expressions (by necessity we don’t get that much coverage of the candidates) but I am amazed that a leadership aspirant is going out on such a limb. Most politicians - all bar probably a dozen in the last century - are all about telling the public what they want to hear, and then turning around and pursuing their own agenda.

I think if Obama was an idiot, he wouldn’t be so adept at answering his critics and thinking on his feet. This is a skill that a certain twice-elected president lost some while ago.

Berko, the reason Obama is so adept at coming up with quick answers is he’s a flaming narcissist and that’s a necessary part of their make-up, to avoid having anyone puncture their delusions of grandeur. Knocking down the country that has made all this possible for him is another instance of his narcissism.

What we are finding now in our wonderful country (and I am not sarcastic when I say that, although I have a feeling you would be) is a folie a deux on a very large scale, a folie a millions. If Obama doesn’t get insane with rage over being contradicted, all of his worshippers will do it for him. And he can then, with his grandiosity, accept it as his due.

He has to be quick on his feet to keep explaining all of the unsavory people in his past: marxists, communists, cheats, racists. If I had that many friends I was ashamed of, I could not show my face in public or expect anyone to trust me.

The last president we had who was so good at thinking on his feet and making things up as he went along was a liar and a cheat and a narcissist.

And the fact that you never heard him use these words is simply irrelevant. They were part of the quote above and it’s from CNN which is solidly in the tank for your God-King.

But there is no point in arguing with those who have already swallowed the kool-aid.
