Non-Denial Denial
My friends.
Do I think Barack Obama called Sarah Palin a pig? No, I do not think Barack Obama called Sarah Palin a pig. If Barack Obama had called Sarah Palin a pig, he, Barack Obama, would have said, “I, Barack Obama, think Sarah Palin is a pig.” But I don’t believe Barack Obama meant to say Sarah Palin is a pig because Barack Obama is too good with words. So what I think he meant to say, instead of “Sarah Palin is a pig”, is that if you put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig, regardless of who that pig may or may not be. I take him at his word that in saying so he never meant insinuate, imply, or intimate that Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska was a pig, in spite of what many, many, many other people, many of them voting women between the ages of 35 and 54 sensitive to being called pigs, believe.
Are my flag pin and Silver Star on straight?

I think he knew he could get a bitchy little double entendre out of it, and I think he was very happy to do so. The clips I have heard, he’s more than happy to pause for the laughing from his audience which does think he just called Sarah Palin a pig. He has suck timing for comedy, but he definitely paused.
