Obama on Justice Thomas and Experience

Very amusing

The One starts to say that Thomas was inexperienced, realizes that is also his problem, and shifts gears.

I am NOT an Obama fan; but when I listened, I heard him utter only the prefix “ex.” He was not necessarily going to say “experienced.” He may have started to say, “exceptionally” or “extraordinarily well-qualified” (for instance).
The transcript provided on the link also included an additional “p” I didn’t hear, so maybe my hearing is faulty…
As I said, I’m not an Obama fan. I do believe in fair play.

My sense listening to it was that he was going straight for experience. That’s just how it sounded to me.

Yerusha, watch his face carefully. His lips closed and pursed a little bit as one does when one is ennuciating a “P”. One’s lips do not close if one is going to say “extraordinary” or “exceptional.” No sale. The next letter out of The One’s mouth was either a B, an M or, way more likely given the lip-pursing, a P. Plus I can’t think of any English words that start with “exb” or “exm”.
