Blame Me: I Live in Massachusetts
Michelle Malkin picked up this nugget from today’s Congressional hearings. Call it the asinine leading the asinine:
One of the most hostile and ignorant questioners was Rep. William Delahunt (D-MA)–who is not even a member of the subcommittee. When subcommittee member Steve King (R-Iowa) politely objected that Nadler had not followed the rules in obtaining unanimous consent for Delahunt’s questioning (King did not object to his presence, just the failure to follow House rules), Nadler obnoxiously acknowledged the point of order, regretting that he had been called out. Later, after King had left the hearing room, Nadler personally attacked King and snarked that he must not have cared about the rules enough to stay. (At the end of the hearing, Nadler withdrew those remarks with all the sincerity of a, well, Democrat politician.)
I almost drove off the road when Delahunt sarcastically told Addington that he was “glad” al Qaeda finally got the chance to watch him on TV. He can spin it all he wants, but the gloat in his voice is unmistakable.
Rep. King rightly called Delahunt on the carpet: “Congressman Delahunt’s live, televised statement to Vice President Cheney’s Chief of Staff was an invitation to Al-Qaeda to target him. I wonder if Bill Delahunt is ready to guard Mr. Addington’s home and family.”
Blame me. I live in Massachusetts (thought not in this bung-hole’s district).
Can my leftist readers not at least acknowledge the absolute depravity of these remarks? Didn’t we once tar and feather people who behaved this way, or cane them? I know conservatives are considered old fashioned, but, really, don’t you think the stocks in the public square are called for? How can you (his constituents, his supporters, his staff) let him get away with this? It shames all of you. It shames all of us.
PS: CNN has the spin—but as with a lot of spinning, it leaves one feeling dizzy and nauseated.

Yes, lets inflict physical pain on him for his stupid comments.

I support tarring-and-feathering, lashing, public humiliation, and other “physical pain”, but—damn you, Angryflower—I draw the line at gun play.
Exactly who is “us”, by the way? In case I change my mind.

You hypocrites never cease to amaze me. It was PERFECTLY OK to out a CIA operative, and you people still - to this day - can come up with reasons justifying it and saying it wasn’t wrong at all to do so - and then you turn around and LAUGHINGLY try and say that Al Queda not only watches CSPAN, but would be too stupid to put two & two together that an aide to Cheney would be someone they’d want to target.
ANY AMERICAN WOULD BE A TARGET FOR THEM. Or have you forgotten that? Like you forgot about Osama bin Laden - or is that Bush who’s the only Republiturd who’s forgotten him?

Bloodthirsty? You haven’t seen anything. Just wait till we take over the Presidency. Then there’ll be a housecleaning like you’ve never imagined in your worst nightmares.

I am an Obama supporter and hope that Senator Obama condemns the comment by Delahunt. Delahunt seems to have forgot which side he is on.

I believe that Rep. William Delanhunt (D-MA) not being a member of the subcommittee should not have been involved in the questioning Mr. Addinston.
Not giving Mr. Assinston a chance to answer the questions is very rude and is what you can expect from a Democratic. I think subcommitte member Steve King was right to bring it to the attention of Mr. Nadler.

We are rapidly destroying Al-Qua’aeda in their home base of Iraq. They will never be able to launch an attack against any American on our home soil, ever. Mr. Addington is as safe as a George W Bush re-election effort.

Is this guy a congressman??? How can an idiot like this guy be elected to Congress? What’s wrong with my fellow Democratic voters in Massachusetts?
And, his aide’s defense is reprehensible. The Congressman and his idiotic defender should be booted out of Washington.
I wonder if King Obama will put out a statement condemning the Congressman’s stupidity. Don’t hold your breath.
Stay tuned!
