Winken, Blinken, and Odd
Either Michelle Malkin is on mushrooms, or the world is even more [bleeped] up than I thought.
The Rev. Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson are sitting on a couch and in walks Al Gore.
This isn’t a joke.
It’s the plot of a new commercial in the former vice president’s fight against global warming.
And it was filmed at the 57th Street beach Wednesday.
Gore and his nonprofit agency, the Alliance for Climate Protection, are pitting odd couplings - think Sharpton and Robertson - in a series of public-service announcements to draw attention to the environment. The $300 million campaign is expected to launch next week, CBS News reported. Gore talks up his views in a “60 Minutes” interview set to air Sunday.
Just make sure there’s plenty of security to prevent beachcombers from trying to trying to push these whales back into the water. Sea levels worldwide would rise by six inches.
And did they at least wax before the shoot?
Al Gore might as well wring the last bit of notoriety out of this climate change scam. A lot of people have yet to wise up to his spivvy ways. But $300 million? Couldn’t that buy a lot of mosquito nets for Africa, or rehab a lot of homes in Louisiana?
A change is going to come, but it won’t be in the climate. Eventually the world will obsess about something else. I’m guessing asteroids.
