Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards is dropping out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, CNN has learned.
The former senator has told top advisors about his decision. It is expected he will announce it at a speech in New Orleans, Louisiana, at 1p.m. Wednesday.
He won’t be missed. Not the cloying, braying sanctimony. Not the hypocritical Fox-bashing. Not the oleaginous class warfare.
And not the hair.
If every vote for Obama is considered sexist by the feminists, and every vote for Clinton racist by the ethno-fundamentalists—what was every vote for John Edwards? Who wants a bumper sticker on their car that says “Attila ‘08″?
