Tracking Polls of Her Tears
A nation turns its lonely eyes to me to explain Hillary Clinton’s New Hampshire win. Very well.
Everyone thought she was going to lose, including herself. But, as opposed to Iowa, she rocked the woman’s vote in NH. Are Granite State chicks that different from their Hawkeye counterparts? Sure, why not? But I’ve heard that women were leaking toward Obama in NH, as well. So how’d she plug the leak?
By leaking herself. Seriously, the only thing that happened in the last 24 hours before the vote was the waterworks she displayed. True, Bill scolded Obama and his followers for believing in fairy tales (”Give me a break.”), but fairy tales is exactly what liberals want. Even they wouldn’t dispute that. Anyhow, that doesn’t explain the stampede back toward Hillary among women alone. The boo-hoo moment does.
Don’t know what that says to the feminist sisters (hello, Gloria!); they’ve always told us that a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. But what sunk Ed Muskie buoyed Hillary Clinton. Maybe it was calculated, maybe it was genuine, maybe it was genuine, and then calculated. But there’s no doubt in my mind that her lachrymosity punctured Obama’s pomposity.
