Tough Guys Don’t Gasp

Does anybody really, seriously have a problem with this?

According to a former CIA agent, waterboarding of Abu Zubaydah, a major al-Qaida figure, got him to talk in less than 35 seconds, a technique he asserted had the approval of high-ranking U.S. officials. He said he thought the technique, which critics say is torture, probably disrupted “dozens” of planned al-Qaida attacks.

No one got hurt, a lot of people got saved, and everyone got home in time to watch “Back to You”. I don’t see the problem.

UPDATE: As one of Michelle’s reader’s termed it, this was Zubaydah’s “come to Allah moment”.

Apparantly Sen. John McCain has a problem with Waterboarding. Why? Please do not stop Waterboarding.

There is no permanent damage, it is 35 seconds of inthralling gasping for air and spilling of your guts (plans to terrorize). 10 minutes later they catch their breath (with no physical or mental damage) and yell “Osama! Forgive me! I tell them Everything. Let’s push legislation to keep Waterboarding on terrorists.
