Who Knew the Hsu Doo?
Hot Air wonders if Obama is behind the Norman Hsu stories in the press:
Barack Obama’s presidential campaign “scored a significant hit” against chief rival Hillary Rodham Clinton “by helping to place” a story about tainted Democratic donor Norman Hsu, according to an article about Obama in the December issue of The Atlantic.
…
“…And at a campaign event in Iowa, one of Obama’s aides plopped down next to me and spoke even more bluntly. He wanted to know when reporters would begin to look into Bill Clinton’s postpresidential sex life.”
Wear goggles if you do.
I was about to congratulate Obama for growing a set of balls—but there is no story about Norman Hsu. The last development I’m aware of is that there is no development—and that development is a week old.
Even Obama’s attempts at sleeze are half-hearted.
Hillary’s current difficulties are more than bumps in the road. Her waffling and dissembling is systemic. As the prohibitive favorite, she is running not to lose. I don’t see Obama as having the will to take her down, but he may not have to. The press may be shamed into treating her not like royalty (with a randy prince regent in tow), but like a candidate with serious flaws. There are no Pulitzers for dismantling Democratic politicians, however, no matter how dirty they are (and Bill is very, very dirty, in the best sense of the word).
