Black Water, White Bear [UPDATED]
[P]olice had warned the protesters dressed in Blackwater gear, as well as others in military fatigues, not to block the doorway or they would be arrested. They sat on the steps pretending to hold weapons in their hands.
More than 100 people were protesting both the war in Iraq and U.S. policy on global warming. Some were dressed as polar bears and danced on the sidewalk, while others shouted, “No war” and “No warming.”
Pretending to hold weapons, and pretending to be polar bears: Halloween’s in nine days, people.
I haven’t seen dancing polar bears since my college days.

Why stop there?

Remember ANSWER (Act No to Stop War and End Racism)? I always wondered what war had to do with racism, but what the hell—most people oppose both. So why’d they drop the racism part for global warming? I think I’d rather live in an integrated jungle than a segregated ice cube.
