Mahmoud Amsterdinejad mewls and moans about his treatment in the court of American public opinion:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday blamed some circles within the United States of putting him in the same boat as the head of the terrorist network al-Qaeda Osama bin Laden.

Ahmadinejad also blamed the US government and New York City officials for rejecting his request to visit the site of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

“All I wanted to do was pay my respect and tribute at the site to the victims but this simple request was rejected,” he said.

Ahmadinejad compared the status of September 11 to the Holocaust, saying that both issues were used against the Islamic world.

You’ve got to hand it to Morey. He took a long, steaming leak all over everything America holds dear—from 9/11 victims to homosexuals—and still managed to make himself out as the victim of bad manners. At least Osama has the grace to kvetch about America from either a cave in Afghanistan or the studios of Wayne’s World.

I would have let Ahmadamsterdam visit Ground Zero, but I would have given him the perspective of a victim by pinning him under eight tons of granite.

The connection between 9/11 and the Islamic world hardly needs amplification, but if Morey needs to be reminded about Islam’s role in the Holocaust, Alan Dershowitz can tell him all about it.
