Scenes From the Palestinian Liberation LXXXIX

Another day, another clan killing:

At approximately 16:00 Wednesday, 29 November 2006, 3 gunmen shot dead Jihad Suleiman Abu Nsaira, 40, with a live bullet to the head, when he was walking near ‘Abdul Karim al-‘Aklouk School in the center of Deir al-Balah town in the central Gaza Strip. Abu Nsaira was killed for a family revenge. Two school children were also lightly wounded by the gunfire:

1. Mohammed Nahed Bashir, 14; and

2. Ahmed Motee’ al-Naffar, 14.

It is worth noting that an armed dispute erupted between the families of Abu Nsaira and Madi last August on a tract of land. ‘Abdul Hakim Mohammed Madi, 35, was killed and two other persons were wounded in that dispute.

“Dispute”? What was WWI, a tiff?

Across the blooming desert, meanwhile, this Palestinian was preparing for a “heated exchange”:

IDF soldiers manning the Hawarrah checkpoint south of Nablus apprehended an 18 year-old Palestinian Thursday when 3 pipe bombs were found on his person, the army said.
