You know, Tiny Tim would make a terrific Climate Czar. The only disqualification that I can think of is that he’s dead.

I don’t see how that’s a problem. At least he hasn’t cheated on his taxes since 1996.

Now that I’ve watched the clip and thought about it for a while, I have to say that Tiny Tim was a genius way ahead of his time. Not only the whole bizarre persona, variations of which other comedians have been playing with ever since, but even more the use of children’s song and imagery to depict the apocalypse—and the exploitation of children while doing so. The kids do sing along to the chorus, but more frightening than drowning in the rising seas is the sight of this grown(?) man(?) with his shaggy hair and manic eyes alternately cooing and growling at them.

Who else would think to exploit children in videos for political gain?
