They are shocked—shocked—to discover so many things!
That Van Jones wears tin foil over his sexy dome. That Jeremiah Wright believes in “God damn America”. That Bill Ayers was “guilty as sin and free as a bird”.
And now President Obama is shocked—shocked—to learn that this was not the Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi he thought he knew:
British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return.
The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.
‘The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britain’s discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi,’ said the Whitehall aide.
‘We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahi’s return was out of the blue.
This is the only way the story makes any sense. Scotland wouldn’t take such a step on its own; London wouldn’t allow them to (or pressure them to) without clearance from America; Obama would certainly feel sympathy toward a dying terrorist (he’s sympathetic enough to those in the pink).
And by this leak, Gordon Brown’s government says it will be damned if it’s going to “take the fall” for this dissembling amateur in the White House (to cite another Bogart film).

And not a word in the press about what Fearless Leader was up to. That’s truly the dog that did not bark in the night. I have seen a fair number of posts this weekend about how the MSM managed to print not a word about Van Jones, and again, they managed not to learn of or print a word about Megrahi’s state-engineered escape. Considering that George Bush could not even fall down without it being on the news for a week, this is just more astonishing proof at the complete fecklessness of the MSM.
