Oh how I wish I could. But they frown on that at work and I have a policy of never ever ever watching presidential speeches. I may read them later, but I will not watch them. I'd blame it on Bush but I couldn't stand to watch or listen to anyone since Reagan.

Anyway, they are making the inauguration available to us at work tomorrow. It has to be a group think due to internet resources which means that those of us who chose to work through the swill will be nearly unable to. We are "encouraged to take part and be involved" although how on earth watching TV, or a computer monitor, constitutes taking part or being involved is completely beyond me.

I'm thinking of wearing all black tomorrow, or is that too obvious?

Oh, hell for breakfast, I just heard some newschick on the radio announce that tomorrow The One will drop "elect" from his title. HE DOESN'T HAVE A FREAKING TITLE, OK? Does this mean we will have to put up with this crap from every future president? For this pretentiousness alone, I would hate him if I weren't already heaping maledictions on his over-swollen head.

I recall something Florence King wrote about the Royal Wedding so long ago. I can't remember most of it, but I think she ended with something like, "And everyone in America, even Katie Couric, had an orgasm."

So the question I will leave you with is, if that's what we got for a royal wedding, what manner of orgy will take place in the CBS news room tomorrow? Who wants to watch?
