The minute I heard the news, I started laughing. No one else at work seems to get why I find it so funny, but this is just...neat! Blago (and if that's not a name for a movie vampire, I don't know what is) is so blatant about it, absolutely no shame at all, no interest whatsoever in the possibility that he might be doing something wrong. I bet he's pissed - if all of his predecessors got away with this sort of corruption, how on earth can those lousy Feds deny him his turn slurping at the trough. Someone else pointed out that this probably gives Patrick Fitzgerald more job security than any federal attorney has ever known, but I'm not so sure. If things get too close to The One, he's toast. No one has ever apparently told The One "No" so I would expect The One to think he can have a Saturday Night Massacre without anyone raising an eyebrow.
