You can claim to speak not only for not only Ogletree, for Malkin, for 300 million knuckle-dragging Americans (you even claim to speak for me, but falsely)—and now for God?

If it is not clear to you by now that I try to present the facts and let people come to their own conclusions, then I won’t try further. I provided the link to the audiofile of Ogletree’s original remarks, including a helpful marker to find them without losing an hour and a half of your life listening to the rest of the cuckoo colloquy—that alone should have made it clear I had nothing to hide. I don’t delete comments unless they’re obscene, promotional, or otherwise serve no purpose. Comments disagreeing with me may serve no purpose, but I let ‘em in anyway. Excuse me if I can’t address them all.

I’ve already told you what I think Ogletree said; somehow you come to a different conclusion. And somehow I still think I’m right; Michelle Malkin, too. Where I think you go wrong is when you hammer your own personal conclusion into universal law. We’re going to be disagreeing a lot in this country over the next few years, regardless of who wins the election. Let’s remember that we’re all countrymen and women of the greatest nation on earth, now or ever. As winners of life’s lottery it seems petty to squabble among ourselves.

I’ve given up on trying to decipher what Ogletree meant. I just know what he said, and what he said was Barack was biracial and doesn’t count. Who’s the racist?

The people quoted right underneath the photo are braindead, and they prove John Murtha right. They will vote Obama, then resume their lives as useless racists who have no problem dropping the n-bomb like that’s a reasonable thing to do. No, Michelle, racism will not vanish when Obama takes the oath of office. That is the first part of Ogletree’s point, and he is provably correct. (Is Ogletree claiming racists are voting for Obama’s white half? I can’t really tell. If he is, that’s eminently stupid.)

I’m white, and I early voted for Obama. I didn’t do so because he’s black, but if I had, exactly what kind of racist does that make me? (And as far as blacks who vote for him and say they’re doing so because of race…who would they vote for if Obama were white, or if Hillary had won? Don’t kid yourself that it would be much closer. Blacks go Democratic 90-10.)

Transforming that into “Ogletree says you’re a racist” is either mistaken or mendacious. I have my opinion as to what it is when it comes from Malkin.

Or is Malin claiming that racism is actually a thing of the past, and that Ogletree is hatefully claiming otherwise? Even she isn’t that insane. I assume.

As for people voting for Obama because he is black, I have no doubt that’s going on, just as I have no doubt that others are voting against him for that reason. None of this is relevant to Malkin’s typically dishonest (and nasty) statement.

But now I have.

And, sadly yes, Ogletree does seem to say exactly what he was reported to have said: Barack is bi-racial, ergo his success in American politics is the exception and proves nothing. Racism continues as before.

But my other point is that plenty of blacks and whites are voting for Obama precisely because he is black. I don’t say so, they do. Neither you nor Ogletree address that.
