Profane. How will we someday end this type of profanity? I'm fearing that the answer becomes more extreme as time marches on and as the degree of profanity becomes worse.

After seeing this, I'd like to give up free speech to stop these sort of things.

Except that Folsom St. Fair will bring in huge amounts of tourism dollars. People fly in from around the world to attend the Folsom St. Fair. I doubt tens of thousands would be flying in to watch the Marines film a video. Folsom is roughly a neighborhood street festival, that occurs in the gay district of San Francisco. Not too unlike a festival in any other neighborhood (like an Italian fair). I don't think the ad was meant to be anti-Christian. The organizers of the fair may not have really thought of the implications nor the backlash, or maybe they didn't care that it might be offensive. I'm gathering it was meant to be an artistic (albeit maybe tasteless) interpretation of the Last Supper. Seems really to be another reason to attack the gay community, another rallying call to organize hate towards a minority. Of course, boycotting Miller Lite from a church that technically looks down upon drinking may not be the most effective approach.

That struck me as interesting as well. Not only do they disallow the Marines on their streets, but they put tax dollars to work at providing security and resources for an event that has, as part of its agenda, anti-Christain ads and affiliations (SoPI, for example).

It's odd that San Francisco can deny the Marines from filming a recruiting commerical on California Street because of their concerns that it will tie up traffic but they can approve the Folsom Street Fair which will probably block several streets. I can clearly see where their priorities are.
