Maybe a more accurate title would be that the journalist has found his brain under the pile of shoes in the back of the closet and is now “thinking”.

The Swedish journalist who wrote a controversial article claiming Israel Defense Forces soldiers kill Palestinians in order to harvest their organs is reportedly reconsidering his views after a recent visit to Israel, Army Radio reported on Thursday.

Donald Bostrom, according to the report, recently withdrew from participating in an anti-Israel conference to be held in Beirut, citing his recent, and highly contentious, participation in a media-affairs conference in southern Israel as the cause.

“The visit to Israel and the fact that I was part of a fair dialogue made me rethink the whole issue,” the Aftonbladet journalist reportedly told close aides.

At the media conference in Dimona, where Bolstrom was frequently interrupted by hecklers, the Swedish journalist admitted he had no proof beyond the allegations of the families of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army.

His interviewer, Israeli television presenter Yair Lapid, questioned Bostrom’s journalistic ethics and accused him of being an anti-Semite “because you are willing to believe the Israeli government would take part in such atrocities.”

Bostrom said, “In Sweden, like myself … we strongly support Israel’s right to exist in peace. If you violate the rules … we have a tradition to criticize. The fact is that the families said what they said. That’s a normal article,” Bostrom said.

At the time, Bostrom commended the organizers for inviting him and giving him a chance to defend his work in Israel.

I challenge our readers to search the top tier newspapers anywhere in the Western world to come up with an article that libels any group the way the Swedish article libeled the Jews. Think about the nasty pejoratives typically flung at any group - racial, ethnic, religious, whatever binds them together, and locate an article that plays to the hate narratives. For the article to be a contender, the accusations must be spun out of air and fairy dust. And I am not talking about tabloid rags or angry outbursts on blogs; I mean the established media. I don’t think it can be found.

Swedish journalist Donald Bostrom was given a cold greeting in Dimona, where he attended the city’s annual International Conference on Communications on Monday.

Bostrom, who has been severely criticized for an article he wrote in the Swedish daily Aftonbladet alleging that Israeli soldiers had stolen body parts from dead Palestinians during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, was greeted by a throng of protesters upon his entrance to the hall where the conference was held, and his keynote address was disrupted by catcalls from the audience.

During an interview with journalist and talk show host Yair Lapid, Bostrom defended his article, claiming everything he wrote was backed by evidence.

“If you had seen what I saw, you would have made the same claims I did. I promise you that the article contains no rumors or lies,” said Bostrom.

When asked where he got the evidence to make such serious accusations against Israeli soldiers, Bostrom said the fact was that Palestinian families had made the claims, not that the claims themselves were true. Lapid in turn accused Bostrom of being led on by Hamas and becoming part of their propaganda campaign.

I could make the claim that I am the father of Gisele Bündchen’s unborn baby, not Tom Brady, but that doesn’t make it true. (A gentleman doesn’t kiss and tell, but one too many caipirinhas, and, well, say no more.)

Let’s call this guy SECO, because he’s a Swedish tool.

Sweden has qualms about burning bunnies to heat Bjorn’s bungalow:

Residents in Stockholm are divided over reports that rabbits are being used to make biofuel.

The bodies of thousands of rabbits are fuelling a heating plant in central Sweden, local newspapers say.

The city of Stockholm has an annual cull of thousands of rabbits to protect the capital’s parks and green spaces.

The rabbits, not native to Sweden, are mainly the offspring of pets released by owners, and are said to be destroying parks in the capital.

Since they have no natural predators, the city administration of Stockholm employs hunters to kill the rabbits.

Tommy Tuvunger, one of the hunters, told Germany’s Spiegel website that 6,000 rabbits were culled last year, and another 3,000 this year.

“They are a very big problem,” he said. “Once culled, the rabbits are frozen and when we have enough, a contractor comes and takes them away.”

The frozen rabbits are then taken to a heating plant in Karlskoga which incinerates them to heat homes.

“In the town where they are burning them the reaction of the residents is quite relaxed,” Mr Savage told the BBC World Service. “But in Stockholm there’s the big city attitude of the rabbits being cute.

But they are quite all right with mistreating animals not quite as cute as bunnies, Jews:

No recent media infraction captures the dangers of abandoning journalistic standards as vividly as the August 17, 2009 Aftonbladet story alleging Israel plunders and trafficks Palestinian organs. Appearing in its Culture section, the account was a concoction of baseless innuendo, false charges and guilt-by-association conspiracy theory, weaving disconnected events from past and present. Within weeks, the claims metastisized in Middle East media into lurid variations on the old blood libel of Jews plundering organs and drinking the blood of non-Jews. Incendiary cartoons and fantastic stories of Jewish child-snatching appeared.

It’s one of the oldest libels in the storied tradition of anti-Semitism, and the Swedes have merely dusted it off and put a good dance beat underneath it. And they don’t seem bothered in the least to have done so.

Okay, fine. Here’s one Jew who’s cute as a bunny.

Their court has ruled

The Swedish Chancellor of Justice has decided not to launch an investigation into a newspaper that alleged that Israeli soldiers kill Palestinian civilians in order to harvest their organs, Army Radio reported Saturday.

Swedish judicial authorities ruled that the report in the tabloid Aftonbladet did not constitute racism and was therefore legal, according to Army Radio. The ruling was in response to two requests submitted to the Swedish Chancellor of Justice, Army Radio said.

According to Swedish law, a publication may be considered illegal if it is threatening or expresses contempt towards a person or group of people based on their race, ethnicity, or nationality.

Isn’t that remarkable? The blood libel is not an expression of contempt towards the Jewish people? How dumb are the Swedes? Are they really that dumb?

The blood libel is legal and acceptable in all parts of Europe, as far as I know. It is embedded in the culture. Europe has been spreading the blood libel throughout the world since roughly 1290. They are good at it and proud of it.

“Botched” surgeries performed in Britain, Swedish docs

You thought I was only kidding when I suggested that Swedish surgeons were stealing British body parts?

A hospital which flew in Scandinavian surgeons to reduce waiting times is being sued after it was alleged that one third of the operations carried out were botched.

Surgeons from Sweden, Denmark and Finland were flown into Britain between 2003 and 2006 as part of a £3million scheme to speed up hip and knee replacements.

But concerns were raised about the quality of the work carried out and many patients fear the surgeons were insufficiently trained or skilled.

More than one third of people operated on at Weston-super-Mare General Hospital (WGH), Somerset, had an unsatisfactory result and six legal cases are now being considered.

Terry Heath, 65, who lives with wife Patricia in Bristol, is taking the hospital to court after a botched knee replacement operation left him unable to walk without crutches.

The former Airbus worker said his life has been ‘changed completely’ by the overseas surgeon’s mistake.

Terry said: ‘When I got the phone call about Weston hospital getting Swedish surgeons over to ease waiting lists I said if they are genuine surgeons I will have it done.

Poor guy. This needs to be investigated.

Man collapses with ruptured appendix… three weeks after NHS doctors ‘took it out’

After weeks of excruciating pain, Mark Wattson was understandably relieved to have his appendix taken out.

Doctors told him the operation was a success and he was sent home.

But only a month later the 35-year-old collapsed in agony and had to be taken back to Great Western Hospital in Swindon by ambulance.

To his shock, surgeons from the same team told him that not only was his appendix still inside him, but it had ruptured - a potentially fatal complication.

In a second operation it was finally removed, leaving Mr Wattson fearing another organ might have been taken out during the first procedure.

The blunder has left Mr Wattson jobless, as bosses at the shop where he worked did not believe his story and sacked him.

Mr Wattson told of the moment he realised there had been a serious mistake.

‘I was lying on a stretcher in terrible pain and a doctor came up to me and said that my appendix had burst,’ he said.

‘I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I told these people I had my appendix out just four weeks earlier but there it was on the scanner screen for all to see.

‘I thought, “What the hell did they slice me open for in the first place?”

‘I feel that if the surgery had been done correctly in the first place I wouldn’t be in the mess I am today. I’m disgusted by the whole experience.’

Mr Wattson first went under the knife on July 7 after experiencing severe abdominal pain for several weeks. He was discharged but exactly a month later he had to dial 999 after collapsing in agony.

Following the second operation his incision became infected and he was admitted to hospital for a third time for treatment.

He said: ‘I had a temporary job at a sports shop but when I took in two medical certificates saying I had my appendix out twice they didn’t believe me.

‘Now I’m helpless. I can’t go out and find a job, I can’t go to interviews, I can barely walk and am in constant pain. Before the first operation they told me I had to have my appendix removed and when I woke up afterwards they said it had been a complete success.

‘But then I keeled over in agony one month later and when they did some tests at the hospital we could see the appendix was still there on the scans.

‘As far as I was aware they took my appendix out and no one told me any different.

‘I have no idea what they did take out, but I want to find out what went wrong.’

A spokesman for Great Western Hospital confirmed that a representative had met Mr Wattson and that an investigation had been started.

He was unable to confirm what, if anything, was removed in the first operation.

I’d look around for my spleen if I was Mr. Wattson. Or ask the Swedes. Swedish researchers are known to be involved in an experiment involving stolen British spleens. There needs to be an investigation.

Sweden has largely avoided the anger Denmark has suffered
The Swedish government has moved to shut down the website of a far-right political party’s newspaper over cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

The site’s host, Levonline, pulled the plug on the website of the Swedish Democrats’ SD-Kuriren newspaper after consulting with the government.

It is believed to be the first time a Western government has intervened to block a publication in the growing row.

I thought that the government refused to condemn the blood libel article because of their longstanding tradition of freedom of the press?

Aside from the more obvious flaws - anti-Semitism and the Aryan superiority streak running through the culture - they are just plain full of it.

This is definitely a first

The family and relatives of Bilal Ahmed Ghanem, the Palestinian at the center of the organ-theft story in the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, said on Monday that they didn’t know if the accusations were true or not.

The family lives in the tiny village of Imatin in the northern West Bank. Ghanem, 19, was killed by IDF soldiers during the first intifada on May 13, 1992.

He was a Fatah activist who was wanted by the IDF for his involvement in violence.

His mother, Sadeeka, said he was shot by an IDF sniper as he walked out of his home. “The bullets hit him directly in the heart,” she said.

Ghanem’s younger brother, Jalal, said he could not confirm the allegations made by the Swedish newspaper that his brother’s organs had been stolen.

“I don’t know if this is true,” he said. “We don’t have any evidence to support this.”

Jalal said his brother was evacuated by the IDF in a helicopter and delivered to the family only a few days later.

The mother denied that she had told any foreign journalist that her son’s organs had been stolen.

However, she said that now she does not rule out the possibility that Israel was harvesting organs of Palestinians.

Notice this: The Swedish newspaper has taught a brand new form of blood libel to the Palestinians. As if they didn’t hate enough, the Swedes have added to the problems in the region, as well as to hatred of Jews in other parts of the world. No wonder Hitler admired them in the pure Aryaness.

Does Swedish salmon secret involve horrific crimes against Norwegian villagers?

OSLO – Gravad lax – or pickled salmon – is one of the most popular Scandinavian dishes. Its preparation process is simple and quick, and its ingredients are seemingly identical everywhere: Salmon fillet, salt, sugar, oil, and herbs.

However, despite this, those in the know and lox connoisseurs have been claiming that the Swedish gravad lax tastes differently than the Norwegian, Finnish, and Danish variety. “The Swedish variety contains some sort of slight sourness, “ says Danish Chef Richard Muller Holstrum. “I was never able to detect its source.”

Horror at the village

Arnolf Lillehammer, a resident of the Norwegian village of Idiben, located near the Swedish border, will never forget the last time he saw his father alive. “It happened just before the last summer,” Arnolf recounted. “The lake was about to freeze, and dad went out to fish in the afternoon. He asked me to help him clean the fish when he returns. After three hours we started to worry. The next day, after we found his boat, we realized something terrible had happened.”

Three weeks later, Arnolf’s fears were replaced by pure horror, after finding his father’s corpse buried in the snow, with both his feet cut off.

This was not the only disappearance in the area. In fact, dozens of cases of fishermen failing to return home at the end of the day were recorded in eastern Norway in recent years. The locals attributed the many disappearances to the harsh winter conditions; fierce snowstorms did not leave any hope for finding the bodies. However, the horrible fate of Arnolf Lillehammer’s father, Videkon, made it clear this was a much more sinister affair than previously thought.

The bizarre death was extensively covered by local media and police officials devoted great efforts to solving the mystery, but answers were not forthcoming. However, the Lillehammer family finally received some unexpected help: One clear summer day, a man by the name of Bjorn B. (the full name is being withheld) appeared at the family’s door and presented himself as a Swedish army defector.

The salmon war

Bjorn told the stunned relatives that in the framework of his role as an intelligence officer, he was exposed to the activity of a top secret unit in the Swedish army. The discovery prompted severe pangs of conscience. The moment he read about the Lillehammer family’s tragedy, he knew he would not be able to live with himself if he doesn’t confess to them.

In the 1950s, Bjorn revealed, Sweden faced a sharp decline in pickled salmon exports, mostly because of the growing competition against Norwegian salmon. Secret experiments and taste tests performed by Swedish scientists finally identified the secret ingredient that would give Swedish salmon the edge: One gram of fungus taken from human feet for every 100 grams of gravad lax.

Residents of east Norway villages, known for not changing socks for long months, were therefore an obvious target. And so, Sweden established the Strumpor Stinkande elite unit, responsible for fresh supply of stinky human feet for the Swedish salmon industry.

Senior Swedish military officials are of course rejecting out of hand reports on the existence of the above unit, yet Bjorn B.’s testimonial was further reinforced last week in the Norwegian village of Durknhart. A boy walking by the river found a piece of metal resembling a pin of a military unit sporting an unequivocal symbol – a sock flanked by two wings.

Now all that is left is to see whether the International Court of Justice at The Hague will take up the challenge and probe what appears to be a brutal crime committed by Sweden against the Norwegian people.

Swedish Foreign Ministry’s response

We are stunned by this baseless anti-Swedish report and expect the Israeli government to harshly condemn it. The absence of any condemnation is reminiscent of the Ben Gurion government’s feeble response to Swedish Count Folke Bernadotte’s assassination in Jerusalem in 1948.

Where is the UN when you really need it? This story has been circulating for years, but has been ignored. The reporter saw the corpses, for heaven’s sakes. A full investigation is called for.
