You’d think after the butchery in Mumbai, Islam would be feeling at least a little chastened by the atrocities carried out in its name.
Well, Islam can’t speak, but its adherents can. Let’s have a listen shall we?
Following the Mumbai terror attacks, Pakistani security expert Zaid Hamid was interviewed by Pakistan’s News One television channel; in it, he accused “Western Zionists and Hindu Zionists” of planning the 11/26 Mumbai attacks. He also warned that if the Indians attack Pakistan, the war will be fought within India, not on Pakistani soil. The interview was telecast 24 hours after the Mumbai terror attacks began.
Zaid Hamid, a former mujahid who fought the Soviets in Afghanistan during the 1980s, is the founder of the Pakistani think tank BrassTacks.
“[If] they thrust a war on us, then the war will be fought on the other side of the border, on their side [in India], not within Pakistan Insha Allah…”
“This is not the 9/11 he [George W. Bush] was talking about [recently], but the Indians have themselves always wanted to orchestrate a 9/11, to create the same drama [9/11] in which they could include Americans and Israelis. We have no doubt this was [the result of] a joint plan by Israelis, Americans and Indians - in other words, this was a joint plan by Western Zionists and Hindu Zionists; in it Israelis are directly involved, there is involvement of Mossad.
Damned Hindu Zionists! If we’ve complained about them once, we’ve complained about them a thousand times.
Surely someone in Pakistan is sounding a more conciliatory note.
That would be a no:
Amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan following the 11/26 Mumbai terror attacks, Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr. Samar Mubarakmand spoke of the readiness of Pakistani missiles and of their capability to target Indian cities. Dr. Mubarakmand, who has steered the Pakistani nuclear program for the past several decades alongside disgraced nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, expressed his views during a talk show.
“Pakistan’s nuclear assets are in safe hands.
“Every Indian city is on the target of our missiles, and [Pakistan’s] atomic technology is better than that of India. [We] can fire the missiles at only 10 minutes’ notice…
Then geez, why’d you bother with the terrorists?
Cause it’s looking more and more like you did:
A week after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, Indian officials on Friday stepped up their efforts to draw a connection between the violence and Pakistani government agencies.
In New Delhi, a high-level source in the Indian government, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said India has “clear and incontrovertible proof” that an Islamist militant group based in Pakistan, Lashkar-i-Taiba, planned the attacks and that the group’s leaders were trained and supported by Pakistan’s powerful Inter-Services Intelligence agency, or ISI.
Maybe we’d better look elsewhere in the Muslim world for a little sanity and contrition—both of which seem to be thin on the ground in Pakistan.
Egypt? Yeah right:
Following are excerpts from an address delivered by Egyptian cleric Hassan Abu Al-Ashbal, which aired on Al-Nas TV on November 27, 2008.
“Let me take this opportunity to address the leader of Europe, and the leader of America, who is the leader of the world, the recently elected Obama, who is the leader of the Byzantines - he is like the Byzantine leaders in the days of Prophet Muhammad.
“My message to him is threefold. First, I invite him to convert to Islam. This is the call of the Prophet and of Allah. Oh Obama - convert to Islam, and you will be saved. I hope that Allah will reward you twice: once for converting to Islam, and another reward for all those who will convert in your footsteps. If you want glory - you will find it in Islam. If you want honor - you will find it in Islam. In religions other than Islam there is utter humiliation, even if you are the president of the entire world.

“If you refuse to return to your [Islamic] origins, to the way Allah created you, withdraw your huge armies and military bases from the lands of the Muslims. Know that all your predecessors have ended up in the garbage bin of history, and that America’s black and bleak history in the land of the Muslims and the Arabs constitutes an evil omen for you, your predecessors, and your successors.
Just because the Reverend Jeremiah Wright sounds like he’s from the Nation of Islam doesn’t mean he’s a muslim, dude. And I’d watch your language about America’s “black and bleak history”. That’s racist hate speech.
