Other School Attacks You May Have Missed

Our sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to the Chinese families who have suffered this terrible shock:

Twenty-two primary school children were wounded in a knife attack Friday in central China, authorities said.

The attack took place at the entrance to the Chenpeng Village Primary School in Henan province, according to the public information department of Guangshan county, the area where the school is located. An adult was also wounded, it said.

Several of the children are in critical condition, the state-run website Chinanews.com said, citing local authorities.

Police say they have detained a suspect, a 36-year-old man from the village, state media reported.

Initial assessments suggest the man is mentally ill, Chinanews.com said, citing Guangshan authorities.

China was hit by a spate of knife and cleaver attacks that targeted school children in 2010.

A number of measures were introduced at the time, including increased security at schools across the country and a regulation requiring people to register with their national ID cards when buying large knives.

I don’t really have a comment except to observe that unilateral disarmament doesn’t protect small children at school. If only someone at Chenpeng Village Primary School or Sandy Hook Elementary School had had the means to defend the defenseless children.

I am concerned that it will sort of become a fad among the sick set to go after little kids and teachers. No one is talking about it, but terrorists have used this approach, for example Chechnya in September of 2004. So the idea of targeting little kids it out there.

Also, remember that horrible attack in Norway? I think they have strict gun control laws. I don’t know what the answer is.

Politicians don’t care about what the answers are to problems, they just care about pushing their own agenda. Maybe they realize they don’t have the answers, maybe they realize there aren’t really any answers and maybe they just don’t give a crap. But it’s obvious that the same “ideas” keep coming from them: higher taxes, gun control, climate “fixes”, etc, etc. no matter what the problems are and no matter how many times the public says they don’t want them and no matter how much evidence there is that they don’t work. The political class is either stuck on stupid or just determined to push their miserable agenda no matter what the consequences (like ObamaCare) and as long as that mindset persists, things are only going to get worse.

The palesimians got their first invitation to the UN six months after killing 22 children in Ma’alot. The Chechnyans and others just don’t realize you have to kill Jewish children to get the world’s approval.
